The Wither Skeleton is a hostile mob found in the Nether dimension of the game Minecraft. They are a variant of the standard Minecraft Skeleton, distinguished by their black, bony appearance and the stone swords they wield.

Wither Skeletons are significantly more dangerous than regular Skeletons. Upon being hit by their attack, the player is inflicted with the "Wither" effect, which slowly drains health over time. They are primarily found in Nether Fortresses, making these locations particularly perilous.

LEGO versions of the Wither Skeleton appear in several Minecraft-themed sets, including those featuring Nether scenes. These LEGO figures maintain the character's skeletal design and are often armed with a small stone sword, faithfully replicating the in-game mob.
